Information about FY 2008 commendations for contributions towards measures against volatile organic compounds (VOC).

In order to help reduce air pollution, especially as coming from Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) and photochemical oxidants, the Ministry of the Environment has pushed forward certain measures which involve the formation of policies, legal control and the voluntary approach of businesses to help reduce VOC emissions from stationary sources by around 30% in the period between FY 2000 and FY2010.

The Ministry of the Environment has recognized the activity of businesses, individuals and groups that have taken the lead in measures that help limit VOC emissions, including the voluntary approach to promote these measures, and in such recognition of their important work the Ministry of the Environment will hold a commendation ceremony for prize winners this year.
