Public Comments Invited Regarding the "Proposal for Registration Withholding Standards of Agricultural Chemicals"

The Ministry of the Environment invites public comments regarding its "Proposal for Registration Withholding Standards of Agricultural Chemicals". Comments will be accepted from September 25, 2008 to October 24, 2008.
The proposal establishes registration withholding standards for the prevention of damage to aquatic animals and plants for 15 agricultural chemicals (abamectin, etofenprox, quinoclamine, glufosinate, glufosinate-P sodium salt, chlorantraniliprole, chlorimuron-ethyl, cyclosulfamuron, dimethenamid, dimethenamid-P, trifluralin, halosulfuron-methyl, phosalone, metolachlor, S-metolachlor). The proposal also establishes registration withholding standards for water pollution for 3 agricultural chemical (chlorimuron-ethyl, flucetosulfuron, mandipropamid).
These standards were established under Paragraph 2, Article 3 of the Agricultural Chemicals Regulation Law.
All procedures related to this invitation will be conducted in Japanese. Comments must also be submitted in Japanese.
