The Launch of the Japan Carbon Action Platform (JCAP)
Moving forward with initiatives utilizing market mechanisms at the national and regional level is a key part of addressing global warming issues. Thus, Ministry of the Environment, along with prefectures and municipal governments, decided to establish the Japan Carbon Action Platform, which promotes regional countermeasures against global warming actively.
JCAP is now open for registration from local governments. In the future, it will also include those parts of the private sector which make efforts against global warming.
