The 9th Meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity Conference Parties

The Ninth Meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity Conference Parties (COP9) was held from May 19th to the 30th, 2008, in Bonn, Germany. There were over 7,000 participants from more than 170 countries and related organizations. At the meeting, discussions were carried out concerning issue progress and future progressions of the achievement of the 2010 Biodiversity Targets The High-Level Segment in parallel to COP9 from May 28 to May 30. Japanese Environment Minister, Mr. Ichiro Kamoshita, attended on May 30.
