Publication of GHG Emission Data of FY2006 by Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting System based on Law on Global Warming Countermeasure

Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of the Economy, Trade and Industry published Greenhouse gas emission data of FY 2006 reported by companies, etc. by Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting System based on Law on Global Warming Countermeasure. 14,224 factories and office buildings, etc (7,505 companies) and 1,439 companies of transportation sector reported emission data to the government this year. Total amount of reported GHG emissions was 640 million t-CO2, equivalent to half of the country's emissions (1,341 million t-CO2).The government's report and procedure of information disclosure request for emission date of individual factories/buildings, etc. is uploaded on the following website (Japanese only).
