Cabinet Decision on the Bill Partially Amending the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures
The cabinet is expected to decide on a bill partially amending the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures on March 7th, 2008. The bill includes the formulation of guidelines for reducing greenhouse gases from businesses, improving action plans of local governments as well as improvement of required procedures based on international decisions (*) regarding certified emission reduction based on forestation.
