Public Comments Invited regarding the "Draft of Registration Withholding Standards of Agricultural Chemicals "

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) invites public comments regarding the "Draft of Registration Withholding Standards of Agricultural Chemicals". Comments will be accepted from February 21, 2008 to March 21, 2008.
The draft of the registration withholding standards concerning prevention of damage to aquatic animals and plants lays out 10 agricultural chemicals (1-Naphthyl acetic acid, pyrimisulfan, fthalide, flucetosulfuron, flupoxam, prosulfocarb, permethrin, benzofenap, mandipropamid, lepimectin). The draft of the registration withholding standards on water pollution sets out 2 agricultural chemicals (oxadiargyle, penthiopyrad).
These standards are based on Paragraph 2, Article 3 of Agricultural Chemicals Regulation Law.
All procedures related to this invitation will be conducted in Japanese. Comments also need to be submitted in Japanese.
