An Ecotoxicity QSAR Model "KATE" has become available on the Internet

The Ministry of the Environment and the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) has published the trial web version of "KATE" (Kashinhou Tool for Ecotoxicity); a QSAR (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship) model to predict ecotoxicity, developed by NIES. KATE makes it possible to predict median lethal concentration (LC50) of acute toxicity tests for fish and median effect concentration (EC50) of daphnid acute immobilization tests, by entering the identity such as the structure formula of chemical substances. The KATE trial is now available at http://kate.nies.go.jp/top.html . (Japanese only)
