Monitoring Mission Team Regarding Conservation Status of the Shiretoko World Natural Heritage Site, to be Invited
A request has been made that a monitoring mission team be invited to inspect the conservation status of the Shiretoko World Natural Heritage Site in Hokkaido, as made by the decision of the World Heritage Committee upon its inscription in July 2005. Accordingly, it has been decided that the monitoring mission team consisting of one representative each from the World Heritage Center in UNESCO and IUCN (The World Conservation Union) will be invited from February 19th (Tuesday) through 22nd (Friday), 2008.
