Two Japanese Crested Ibis' Presented by China to be Transported to Japan

As formally announced at the Japan-China summit in April 2007, two Japanese Crested Ibis' as presented by China will arrive on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Narita Airport from China's Shaanxi Province. Six representative members including Mr. Wang Wei, Deputy Director General for the Department of Wildlife Conservation State Forestry Administration of the P.R. China will visit Japan for delivery of the Ibis', and to attend the welcome and signing ceremony with representatives of Japan on Monday, November 19, 2007 in Sado City. The Chinese party plans to return to China on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, bringing along 13 offspring of Mei Mei; a Japanese Crested Ibis presented from China in 2000.
