OECD Japan Seminar on Material Flows and Resource Productivity Held
The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) hosted the OECD Japan Seminar, "Material Flows and Resource Productivity-From Knowledge to Practical Policies," co-organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), at the Mita Kaigisho (the Mita Meeting Hall) in Tokyo, on September 26-27, 2007. Following the OECD Japan Seminar, an open seminar "Environmental Issues in Asia from the Perspective of Material Flows Analysis: Towards Sound Material Cycle Society in East Asia" was held, co-hosted by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the MOE.
Prior to these two seminars, an international workshop, "Resource Efficiency and the Environment: Identifying Key Resource Flows" was held on September 25, organized by the UNEP and hosted by the MOE.
