Eco Car World 2007 (Low Emission Vehicle Fair) to Be Held

The Ministry of the Environment, the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency, and Yokohama City will jointly organize the "Eco Car World 2007" (Low Emission Vehicle Fair) to enhance public understanding and acceptance of low emission vehicles. These vehicles are effective in preventing global warming and air pollution caused by nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) particularly in metropolitan areas. At the fair, various low emission vehicles will be exhibited and test-driven, and educational activities to enhance public awareness of Eco Drive will be offered. Mr. Wakabayashi, Minister of the Environment, is to attend the opening ceremony, which will start at noon on June 2.
