Verification of the Reporting on End-of-Life Vehicles' Equipment (CFCs and Air Bags) Using the Electronic Manifest System
The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry carried out verification of the reporting on end-of-life vehicles' equipment (CFCs and air bags) using the electronic manifest system. It turned out that there was some false reporting by some registered end-of-life vehicle (ELV) collection operators. Prefectural governors advised these operators to take appropriate action to properly manage ELVs.
