Surveillance of Wild Birds around Sagara-mura, Kumamoto Prefecture
In response to the case of avian influenza subtype "H5N1" virus detected in a wild mountain hawk captured for conservation in Sagara-mura, Kumamoto Prefecture, the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) has announced its plan for the surveillance of wild birds for avian influenza infection in order to identify the transmission status and route.
