Citizen's Guide for Understanding FY2004 PRTR Data

It is now mandatory for businesses in Japan to estimate their emissions and transfers of chemical substances, using the pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR) system. In order to help the public to use this data, the Ministry of the Environment has produced an easy-to-understand guidebook in Japanese, entitled the "Citizen'fs Guide for Understanding PRTR -- Data from the FY2004 Results." The guidebook is composed of four chapters, "The PRTR System," "PRTR Data," " Citizen Involvement Activities" and "Further Information."
