Results of the 3rd Thailand-Japan Environmental Policy Dialogue

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Japan, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of the Kingdom of Thailand have been promoting environmental cooperation between the two countries since the signing of the "Memorandum of Cooperation on Environmental Cooperation between the Ministry of the Environment of Japan and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Kingdom of Thailand" (MOC) in 2018.

On May 2, 2022, Prime Minister Kishida visited Thailand and expressed to Prime Minister Prayut his support for carbon neutrality in Thailand through the Thailand-Japan Environmental Policy Dialogue.

At this third policy dialogue, MOE Japan and MONRE shared the results of major activities based on the MOC and confirmed the direction of future cooperation including collaboration to achieve carbon neutrality in Thailand.
