MOEJ held a side event, "Circular Economy x Carbon Neutrality," at COP26

On November 11 (November 12, JST), 2021, the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ), held a side event, "Circular Economy x Carbon Neutrality," at Japan Pavilion in the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Glasgow, UK.

At this side event, Minister YAMAGUCHI Tsuyoshi, Minister for Environment of the Netherlands Steven van Weyenberg, countries, international organizations, and global companies shared the recognition that a transition to a circular economy is necessary to achieve carbon neutrality. In addition, they exchanged views on the issues to be addressed in order to further promote the circular economy and the cooperation strategy.
