We are pleased to introduce members of SCAFFF 2030 project! Sustainability Consortium for Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Food -SCAFFF

SCAFFF consists of 62 companies and organizations which engage in activities to promote sustainable production and consumption of food and other products from agriculture, forestry and fisheries. (in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Consumer Affairs Agency and the Ministry of the Environment).

１． Outline of the project

'SCAFFF' is a project that promotes activities to enhance sustainability in production and consumption with the aim of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

SCAFFF project members will obtain information on sustainability issues from various stakeholders through study sessions and strengthen the network through regular social events.

In addition, SCAFFF will hold Sustaina-Week (described in next item), an event to highlight the value of sustainable activities and products, and the Sustaina-Awards (February 2021) to recognize sustainable
initiatives.

２．Sustaina-week (Week for sustainability)

SCAFFF will launch a campaign 'Week for sustainability (Sustaina-Week)' to promote 'a daily choice for a green future' from September 17th to 27th in parallel with the scheduled United Nations 75th General Assembly.

During Sustaina-week, the SCAFFF members communicate and promote their own sustainability initiatives in order for consumers to visualize the sustainability of agriculture, forestry, fisheries and food.

A variety of events will also be held, including the UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) Sustainability Action Dialogue (tentative) and the 100 Million People's Conference on Food and the Environment (tentative). Details of these events will be announced on the following website as soon as they are ready.
