Park Rangers Post their Emotional Moments in National Parks through Photos

1. Official Instagram Account of National Parks of Japan

The Ministry of the Environment will open its official Instagram account of National Parks of Japan as a part of ongoing "Visit National Park!" project.

Park rangers who play important roles in 33 National Parks nationwide will share their "emotional moments" in their daily duties by posting photographs to Instagram to convey the charms of National Parks.

Among all the park rangers, active rangers who are mainly in charge of outdoor fieldworks such as patrolling, conducting scientific research and nature interpretating, will play a central role in sharing the unique attractiveness of National Parks in real time.

We invite you all to follow our Instagram page.

When you visit one of the National Parks, please post your own photographs by adding the hashtag "#NationalPark_Japan."

4. Future Development

Photographs of the National Parks selected to promote their activities in a precedent and intensive manner in the framework of the "Visit National Park!" project will be posted from the date of account creation to October 14.

From October 17 onward, various projects are to be planned, including setting monthly themes (such as autumn leaves, first snowfall and blooming of cherry blossoms) to convey pictures on seasonal changes in National Parks nationwide one after another and organizing events of the hashtag "#NationalPark_Japan."

5. First Posting

For the first posting on Monday, October 3, Dr. Robert Campbell, one of the members of the Experts Panel on the Visit National Park! project will, as a special guest, post his photos capturing his "emotional moments" during his visit in Aso-Kuju National Park from Tuesday, September 13 to Thursday, September 15 (Please see the attachment for details).
