The 24th "Starry Sky Town, Blue Sky Town" National Conference held in Hidakagawa Town

The "Starry Sky Town, Blue Sky Town" National Conference aims to deepen the awareness of the preservation of clean air, and to foster local revitalization through local environmental features. This annual event has been held since FY 1988, and this year marks its 24th year.
In FY 2012, the Conference will be hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Wakayama Prefecture, and the "Starry Sky Town, Blue Sky Town" Council on the 17th of November in Hidakagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture, where it will welcome Princess Takamado.
At the Conference, the Minister of the Environment Prize will be awarded to those groups and individuals who demonstrated outstanding performances educating on or promoting clean air preservation.

2. Place: Hidakagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture
3. Host Organization: the Ministry of the Environment, Wakayama Prefecture, the "Starry Sky Town, Blue Sky" Town Council
4. Host City: Hidakagawa Town
5. Theme: Promise to keep the blue sky and starry sky for the future; Cheer the Earth up, Yoo-hoo, the blue sky! Ha-ha, the starry sky!
6. Special Guest: Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado
7. Participants: Parliamentary Secretary of the Environment, the governor of Wakayama Prefecture, the mayor of Hidakagawa Town, the members of the "Starry Sky Town, Blue Sky Town" Council, and other non state parties or individuals, etc.
