The 2nd Meeting of the Indonesia-Japan Joint Policy Study Working Group and Technical Seminar in North Sumatra Province to be held 25-26 September 2012 in Medan

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) of Japan will hold the above-mentioned meeting and seminar with the Deputy VII, State Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia (KLH), Environment Agency of North Sumatra Province, Environment Agency of Langkat Regency and the model factory (PTPN II) on 25-26 September 2012, in Medan, Indonesia.

The agenda of the meeting is as follows.
- Progress and future plans of respective parties for the joint policy research
- Content of the open seminar to be held in late November in Jakarta

The content of the technical seminar is as follows.
- Basic engineering summary of organic wastewater treatment at a palm oil mill
- Introduction of a practical wastewater treatment facility
- Maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility
- Efforts for environmental management in West Java Province
