Public Comments for the Notice (The Result of the examination on the Noxious Liquid Substance based on the Law in relation to Prevention of Marine Pollution and Marine Disaster)

The discharge of the noxious liquid substances by ocean-bound vessels has been regulated by the Law relating to the Prevention of Marine Pollution and Maritime Disaster, which corresponds to the Protocol of 1978 relating to the international convention for the prevention of pollution from ships (the Marpol 73/78 protocol). The MOE examined the Noxious Liquid Substance which is not listed in "IBC Code" and MEPC.2 Circular for the reason of enabling to transport this substance in domestic area. Therefore, this announcement will also be made to gather nationwide public opinion about the result of the examination from August 18 (Thu) to September 17 (Sat), 2011.
