Result of the 6th Meeting of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Study Group for Cooperation Activities on Environmental Management and Workshop on ETV program in Vietnam

The MOE of Japan held the above-mentioned meeting and workshop with the Institute of Science for Environmental Management (ISEM), the Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the 28th and 29th of June, 2011 (venue: Vietnam Academy of Social Science, Hanoi, Vietnam).

In the meeting of the Joint Study Group, they discussed the contents of this fiscal year's joint policy research.
- Policy research for operation improvement of Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund will be mainly conducted by Vietnamese side.
- Field study on "policy package" for deployment of environmental technologies for efficient pollution control in industrial sector in Thai Nguyen province will be mainly conducted by Japanese side.
- In November 2011, Vietnam-Japan joint workshop will be held to discuss and share the achievements of joint policy research.

In the workshop, they discussed and shared common awareness concerning the framework of planned Vietnamese ETV program that was in drawing by VEA. They agreed to continue the discussion concerning Vietnamese ETV program.
