First Workshop on Reduction of Unintentional POPs in East Asian Countries

The Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOE) will hold the "First Workshop on Reduction of Unintentional POPs in East Asian Countries" on September 25 and 26, 2006, in Kyoto. (Venue: Clock Tower Centennial Hall, Yoshida Honmachi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto.)

The purpose of this workshop is to share information regarding the reduction of unintentionally produced persistent organic pollutants (unintentional POPs) in East Asian countries. Government officials and/or experts from East Asian countries, Canada, and the United States and representatives from international organizations will participate in the workshop and exchange opinions on the reduction of unintentional POPs.
