Closing Event for the International Year of Biodiversity to be held

An event to serve as a finale of the International Year of Biodiversity will be held.

The details of the event are as follows:

Dates: 18 and 19 December, 2010

Venue: Ishikawa Ongakudo (Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture)

Organized by: Executive Committee for the Closing Event for the International Year of Biodiversity, consisting of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, MOE, Ishikawa Prefecture, Kanazawa City, Hokuriku Economic Federation, Ishikawa Prefectural Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ishikawa Prefectural Federation of Societies of Commerce & Industry.

On Saturday, 18 December:
- International Year of Biodiversity Closing Ceremony: 14:00-18:05
- Welcome Reception: 18:30-20:30

On Sunday, 19 December:
- Symposium: 10:00-12:00
- Excursion: 12:30-15:00(18:00)

*In addition, exhibitions on biodiversity and an optional tour in Noto will be held as well.
