Joint Workshop on Enhancement of Environmental Management Capacity in Vietnam to be held on the 25th-26th of November, 2010, in Hanoi, Vietnam

The MOE of Japan will hold the above-mentioned workshop with the Institute of Science for Environmental Management, the Vietnam Environment Administration (ISEM-VEA), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the 25th-26th of November, 2010, in Hanoi, Vietnam (venue: Fortuna Hotel Hanoi).

The agenda of this workshop are as follows:
(1) Vietnam's recent efforts and tasks for effective environmental management
(2) Japan's experiences in effective environmental management
(3) Implementation methodology for introduction of package approach into Vietnam's environmental management
(4) Mechanisms to enforce "package approach" of environmental management in Vietnamese central/local governments, relevant organizations and industries (Panel Discussion)
(5) Appropriate pollution reduction technologies and monitoring technologies that can be applied in Vietnam (Round Table Discussion)
(6) Practical measures of package approach that can achieve effective environmental management in Vietnam (Round Table Discussion)
(7) Presentations/promotions of environmental management technologies from Japanese environmental industries (Business Matching)
