FY 2004 PRTR Data Overview
The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry have jointly published a report titled "2006 PRTR Data Report, Japan - Total Releases and Transfers, Summary," which is the fourth report of this kind since the enforcement of the PRTR Law.
A total of 40,341 business facilities throughout Japan filed reports for their FY 2004 data. The aggregated totals of all relevant substances in Japan included a reported release quantity of 270 ktons, a reported transfer quantity of 230 ktons, and the quantity of releases not subject to reporting of 357 ktons.
