Provision of observation results of volcanic eruptions in Iceland and volcanic plume by Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT, "IBUKI") to the Government of United Kingdom

The MOE, National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) are jointly promoting Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT nicknamed "IBUKI", launched on January 23, 2009) project. Here we announce the start of provision of image data acquired by Cloud and Aerosol Imager (TANSO-CAI) onboard IBUKI, in which the status of volcanic eruptions in Iceland and their plume is shown, responding to the request from the government of United Kingdom.
