Honorary Ambassador for the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity appointed

The United Nations announced that Japanese female singer MISIA was appointed as an Honorary Ambassador for the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, which will be held on October 18-29 2010, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
The MOE will make strong effort to raise public awareness for COP10 and biodiversity together with MISIA, through the supports to her activities as the COP10 Honorary Ambassador.
Details regarding procedures including her missions have not been announced for now.
