Announcement on the certification system application for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes

In order to promote the appropriate treatment of asbestos waste, the MOE implemented a certification system for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes using sophisticated technologies in compliance with the Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law.
The Minister announced today that an application has been submitted by Kamtecs, Inc. Their application documents will be open for public inspection for one month, from December 21st, 2009 to January 20th, 2010. Stakeholders interested in the relevant facilities may submit their comments to the Minister from the perspective of environment conservation by February 3rd, 2010.
