Basic Policy for Coordinating the Budget Estimation Policies for FY 2007 Environmental Conservation Expenses

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) formulated the "Basic Policy for Coordinating the Budget Estimation Policies for FY 2007 Environmental Conservation Expenses." The policy establishes priority matters in planning FY 2007 environmental expenses, with an emphasis on an effective and efficient implementation of the government's overall environmental conservation measures. The MOE has submitted the policy to all related ministries and agencies.

The policy requires related ministries and agencies to budget funds necessary for an effective implementation of measures put forth in the Third Basic Environment Plan (approved by the Cabinet on April 7, 2006) and other basic policies regarding environmental conservation.

Based on this policy, the MOE will coordinate the budget estimation policies and present the overall environmental conservation budget plan (budgetary request) to the Ministry of Finance with a request for consideration when compiling the FY 2007 budget.
