"Symposium on Monitoring Sites 1000 project" to be held on January 30, 2010

The Biodiversity Center of Japan has been promoting the Monitoring Sites 1000 Project since 2003. The project aims to detect signs of ecosystem degradation by long-term monitoring surveys, accumulate and analyze quantitative data on various types of ecosystems throughout Japan.
The Biodiversity Center of Japan organizes the symposium to introduce this project. The symposium will be held at The Sasagawa Hall in Tokyo on January 30, 2010. The reports on the results of each ecosystem monitoring and the panel discussion will be performed in this symposium.
