Publication of the FY2007 GHG Emission Data by the Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting System based on the Act on the Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures

The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of the Economy, Trade and Industry published greenhouse gas emission data as reported by companies, etc., by the Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting System based on the Law on Global Warming Countermeasures. 14,841 facilities and office buildings, etc. (7,813 companies), and 1,447 companies from the transportation sector reported emission data to the government this year. The total amount of reported GHG emissions was 650 million t-CO2, equivalent to half of the country's emissions (1,371 million t-CO2).
