Application Guidebook for the FY 2009 Contributor to VOC Voluntary Emissions-Reduction Programs

The Ministry of the Environment has pushed forward certain measures to help reduce air pollution, especially in relation to suspended particulate matter (SPM) and photochemical oxidants. These measures involve the formation of policies, legal control and voluntary approaches by businesses to help reduce VOC emissions from stationary sources by around 30% in the period between FY 2000 and FY2010.

Since 2006, the Ministry has recognized the activity of businesses, individuals and groups that have taken the lead in measures that help limit VOC emissions, including their voluntary approaches in promoting these measures. The Ministry is now seeking candidates for the FY2009 VOC Voluntary Emissions-Reduction Programs award. The application period is from July 31st 2009; all entries must arrive by September 15th, 2009.
