Brief Report of 7th Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventories in Asia (WGIA7)

The Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MoEJ) and the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) convened the 7th Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventories in Asia (WGIA7) on July, 7th- 10th in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The workshop was attended by 100 participants in total, including government and research representatives of eleven countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Lao, P.D.R., Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam), in addition to representatives of two international organizations, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat and the Technical Support Unit of the IPCC National Greenhouse Gas Inventories Programme (IPCC-NGGIP TSU), as well as members of the Regional Capacity Building Project for Sustainable National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Systems in Southeast Asia (SEA GHG Project).
