Implementation of National Park Clean-up Promotion Project

MOE will implement a project to promote activities to clean-up garbage and flotsam in 29 areas including 17 national parks in 2008 and 2009, to enhance the safe and comfortable utilization of the national parks. The budget is one hundred million yen. MOE aims to invigorate communities through promoting projects to preserve good scenery, which is an important tourism resource of those communities.
