Environment Minister Koike takes a look at global warming mitigation activity in Nihonbashi - send "COOL" from Nihonbashi, the center of the Edo -

Minister Koike will take part in "Mission Uchimizu" (sponsored by Mission Uchimizu committee) on August 2 (Wednesday) and sprinkle water with Danjuro Ichikawa, Director of Chuo Ward Yoshihide Yada, and local companies and organizations.

Also, Mitsukoshi Ltd., a department store company actively participating in global warming mitigation as a member of "Team minus 6%" will carry out a pilot test to set 2 degrees C higher than the preset temperature at new annex of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi in cooperation with Ministry of the Environment (MOE).

Send "COOL" from Nihonbashi, the Center of the Edo

Local companies at Nihonbashi, Tokyo will appeal global warming mitigation campaign and send "COOL" from Nihonbashi on August 2.

"Mission Uchimizu" committee invites celebrities who are deeply in connection with local companies and familiar with Nihonbashi culture, and hosts "Mission Uchimizu" to cool down Nihonbashi in the hottest summer day. Also, Mitsukoshi Ltd., whose headquarter is located on Nihonbashi, will set 2 degrees C higher than the preset temperature at floors of new annex of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi in cooperation with Ministry of the Environment (MOE) and introduces ideas and techniques to "COOL" down.
