"World Wetlands Day" Celebrations

World Wetlands Day on February 2 marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on February 2nd, 1971. Government agencies, non-governmental organizations and citizen groups will organize various activities including lectures, seminars, and nature walks all over the world around this time. Activities organized in Japan will include bird-watching gatherings, craft workshops and symposiums.
