Pollen Season of Japanese Cedar and Cypress to End
The Japanese cedar and cypress pollen season is expected to end in early to mid May in Japan. The cedar pollen concentrations have already dropped to a near zero level in western Japan, and are approaching that level in the Kanto, Tokai, and Kinki regions. In parts of the Tohoku, Hokuriku, and Koshin regions, however, they are still at very high levels. The cypress pollen levels are expected to recede in early May in the Kinki and Chugoku regions and mid May in the Tokai, Hokuriku and Kanto regions.
