Establishment of the Guidelines on the Destruction of Halons in Japan

The Ministry of the Environment developed the "Guidelines on the Destruction of Halons in Japan" to prevent emissions of halons, known to be ozone-depleting substances, into the atmosphere. The guidelines set technical requirements for ensuring the proper destruction of excess halons resulting from the disposal of fire extinguishing equipment.
