Cabinet Decision on the Bill for Safety Assurance of Pet Food

The Bill for Safety Assurance of Pet Food is expected to be adopted by Cabinet on March 4, 2008, and submitted to the 169th session of the Diet. To prevent animal health damage caused by harmful pet foods, the Bill prohibits manufacturing, importing and selling pet food, which does not meet standards and specifications.
