Result of the 5th KLH-MOEJ Expert Meeting and Joint Seminar on Wastewater Management of Crude Palm Oil Manufacturing Factory

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) of Japan held the above-mentioned meeting and joint seminar with the Deputy VII, State Ministry of Environment (KLH) of the Republic of Indonesia on the 27th and 28th of November 2012, in Jakarta, Indonesia (venue: Harris Hotel Tebet Jakarta).

In the expert meeting, progress situation and future direction of KLH-MOEJ cooperative program were reported and discussed by Japanese and Indonesian related parties. They agreed the task for the future including drawing up of the Environment Management Guideline for Crude Palm Oil Manufacturing Factory based on the discussion upon the Indonesian's request.

In the joint seminar, the efforts and results in the model project for effective wastewater management in crude palm oil manufacturing factory were shared among related parties of wastewater management in Indonesia. Japanese administrative method for water pollution control in local government and information on Japanese oil-water separation equipment were also reported. Participants discussed their applicability in Indonesia.



For Japanese
