MOE to Host Two U.S. Embassy Science Fellows as Decontamination Experts

The Ministry of Environment will host two U.S. Embassy Science Fellows beginning on February 4, as part of the Japan-U.S. cooperation framework regarding decontamination efforts in Fukushima Prefecture. The two Embassy Science Fellows will provide technical expertise and suggestions to their Japanese counterparts based on their U.S. experience, and will have an opportunity to visit decontamination sites and liaise with other scientists working in the field. This represents yet another example of the close bilateral cooperation and coordination that exists between Japan and the United States.
