Eradication/Control measures of Newly Added "Invasive Alien Species" Announced on Gazette

On September 1, regulations based on the Invasive Alien Species Act went into effect on the species newly added to the lists of "Invasive Alien Species (IAS)," "Uncategorized Alien Species (UAS)" and "Living Organisms Required to have a Certificate Attached during their importation in order to verify their types (LORCA)."quot; The newly added IAS are the large earth bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) and two genera of long-armed scarabs (Euchirus and Propomacrus).

Eradication/control measures of IAS were announced on the official gazette on the same day, specifying the target species, area, duration, goal and detail of the eradication/control measures. Also announced were the prerequisites for confirmation or acknowledgement in implementing eradication/control obtained by local public entities and others.
