Overview of the 9th Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventories in Asia (WGIA9)

The MOE of Japan and the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) together with the MOE of Cambodia will convene on July 13-15 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the 9th Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventories in Asia (WGIA9). The workshop is to be attended by participants including government officials and research representatives from 14 countries (Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam). In addition, participants representing international organizations include the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat and the Technical Support Unit of the IPCC Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (IPCC TFI TSU), a representative of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and members of the Regional Capacity Building Project for Sustainable National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Systems in Southeast Asia (SEA GHG Project).
