In order to expand the scope of environmental cooperation and to train experts to provide such cooperation, the Ministry provides several training courses on international cooperation, for local and central government staff, at the National Environmental Research and Training Institute [New window opens].
Preparation and Distribution of Teaching Materials, etc
The Ministry of the Environment prepares and provides textbooks, manuals, videos, and technology databases in English and local languages, for sharing Japanese pollution experiences, transfer of environmental conservation technology, and environmental education.
Information Networks
In order to boost access to various information developed by Japan and environmental information held by developing countries and to invigorate international information exchanges, information networks are being developed, including AP-NET [New window opens].
