As a precursor to this nationwide campaign, there is a preliminary
event during our reception this evening, where part of the illumination
of the Flower Park, our venue, will be turned off at eight o’clock
at my signal to light our candles. This will be announced from Tottori
and I will be asking the people across Japan to participate in the
campaign. I hope that this event will be conducted in your countries
too.
In conclusion, I very much look forward to the lively and constructive
discussions that have always been a part of ECO ASIA , and I hope
that ECO ASIA will continue to contribute to the promotion of sustainable
development in the Asia-Pacific region. |
