Abstract
Major steel companies have already begun branding and marketing their Green Steel. At this event, after presenting common industry rules and case studies of "Green Steel leading the Green Transition", various stakeholders will discuss ways to promote customer understanding, synergies with national policies and public procurement, consistency with existing international rules, and future challenges and opportunities.

World Steel Association presented "worldsteel guidelines for GHG chain of custody approaches in the steel industry" of Nov. 2024, showing how steel manufacturers can implement GHG reduction projects, issue reductions certificates, and allocate certificates to steel products. JISF explained Green Steel supply utilizing “Reduced Emissions of Product (REP)” per Japanese Government and case study of members, emphasizing significance of REP. Consistency with international regulations & initiatives such as ISO standards, GHG protocols and SBTi, and transparency and reliability should be important.
