On February 6, 2026, DOI Kentaro,the Vice-Minister for Global Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan and H.E. Mr. Md. Daud Alithe Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Japan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation to advance collaboration in areas including climate change mitigation and adaptation, pollution prevention and quality control, waste management, and biodiversity conservation. Both countries agreed to further deepen environmental cooperation.
