Ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the Return to Japan of the Amami Islands

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Asahi visited Amami-Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture to participate in the ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the Return to Japan of the Amami Islands. He also visited the Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Nature Site "Amami Oshima, Magumu-no-sato, Akina, Ikusato and Ogachi," which was certified this year as a site where biodiversity conservation is being promoted through private-sector initiatives, and the Amami-Oshima World Heritage Conservation Center.
